Closure of Life Leisure Centres
20th March, 2020

THE SAFETY OF OUR MEMBERS, STAFF AND PARTNERS IS OUR TOP PRIORITY, WE WANT TO ASSURE YOU THAT OUR STRATEGY IS BASED ON THE GUIDELINES SET OUT BY THE GOVERNMENT & PHE (PUBLIC HEALTH ENGLAND)

Due to Government Guidelines and today’s announcement all leisure facilities must close on the 20th March 2020. The decision has not been made lightly and has been based on the guidance that has been supplied to us by the Government and PHE.

We will keep our website up to date with all relevant information on the ongoing situation and we would advise that you visit www.lifeleisure.net to stay informed with any developments.

Due to the closures of lifeLEISURE facilities, please note that from April 2020 we will not be collecting any DD payments until we re-open.

We ask that you do not cancel your direct debit and can assure you no payments will be collected until the reopening of our facilities.

During this time, we will be providing alternative ways of exercising at home to help maintain your activity levels, as from tonight we will be working to do all we can to make sure we are able to offer you online content for home workouts with some of our own fantastic instructors which will be coming soon. Please click here to follow these home workouts via our YouTube channel.

Members can also access Les Mills workouts on the following links:

We thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time, as a not for profit social enterprise company and registered charity the support from our members and customers is paramount and enables lifeLEISURE to continue to offer services to the community not only through memberships but to offer services for those individuals out in the community.

The income that is generated through our members and customers enables lifeLEISURE, not only to offer memberships, swimming lessons, group exercise classes, family sessions, sporting activities etc… but schemes such as:

  • Engagement activities for individuals with long-term health conditions, providing physically active and socially engaging programmes for residents who cannot access mainstream activity.
  • Targeted sport and physical activity provision for inactive adults that provides a pathway to improved health and wellbeing through socially engaging activities.
  • Youth engagement programmes designed to support and develop the aspirations of young people through volunteering, engagement and education.

We can’t emphasise enough how we appreciate your support and loyalty during this time and hope that over the coming weeks with your support & retention that we can continue to sustain all lifeLEISURE programmes and services we currently offer in the future.
